Parishioners,
As your pastor, I am reaching out to remind you of the ongoing 2024 Annual Catholic Appeal that our Bishop introduced earlier this year. With the theme "Live the Mission with a Generous Heart," we have been called to deepen our commitment to Christ's mission, a journey we embarked on together as a community.
A few weeks have passed since my last update on our Parish Flocknote. I am so appreciative of how you have responded to meeting our Parish goal. There continues to be a need to uplift the ministries and individuals dedicated to keeping our Catholic faith vibrant and strong across our Diocese. This message, shared within our community, reminds us of our collective mission and the profound impact we can have together.
As I have indicated our goal this year is $30,740 with 100% of parish families participation. To date we have raised/pledged $20,000. This amount was raised/pledged by 72 families in our parish. This leaves approximately 90 families that have not responded. I want to highlight the importance of your participation. Your support is crucial in sustaining the vibrant life of our Church and its ministries, serving both the spiritual and temporal needs of our parish and the wider community.
Thanks to the generosity of many in our diocese, we've seen remarkable progress. You might think, “Where in my Parish do I see any benefits from the ACA?” We see our benefits every day when we come to mass and see a priest is available to serve Mass, we have children in religious education supplied by teachers who have all gone through safe environment training to protect our young and vulnerable senior parishioners and our Parish has received 4 grants in the past for A/C replacement, roofing repair and parking lot repaving and striping just to name a few. So, we do benefit here in our Parish.
If you haven't had the chance to contribute to the Annual Catholic Appeal, I warmly encourage you to consider doing so. No amount is too small and let’s get to the 100% participation for our Annual Catholic Appeal. For those who have already given, I extend my deepest gratitude for your generosity and faith. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a significant difference and embodies our faith in action.
Please make you gift or pledge as soon as possible and as soon as you are comfortable doing so. There are envelopes in the church pews and you can also text ACA to 41444, or go to cathfnd.org/donate to make a secure on-line pledge or donation.
Thank you and God bless you.
In Christ’s service,
The Annual Catholic Appeal funds the majority of the work for the Diocese of Tucson.
Covering 51% of the projected Diocesan budget, the ACA provides the financial ability for over 26 ministries and charities to serve individuals and families within the communities of Southern Arizona.
As an appeal, the ACA is an opportunity for the faithful to be good stewards of the Church, live their faith, and give back to their communities. The ACA also allows for parishes to focus on their individual communities, providing critical funding to Diocesan ministries and operations that run more successfully at the diocesan level than at the parish level.
This year's 2024 Diocesan goal of $4M helps fund:
Seminarian and Clergy Education and Support
Outreach to Poor Parishes, Missions, Community
Schools, Education & Evangelization
Diocesan Ministries/New Parish Development
Parish Support Service
Assumption's 2024 parish goal is $30,740.
The ACA helps our educational, charitable, and spiritual ministries bring the heart and hands of Jesus to children, young adults, families and neighbors throughout our Diocese.
Make your gift today and help us reach our Parish goal. Envelopes are in the pews as well as at the back of the church that you may use to make a one-time cash/check/credit card donation.
Prayerfully consider making a joyful sacrificial contribution to this year’s Appeal. Blessed are you who support the good work of the Annual Catholic Appeal, bringing hope and healing to people in need.
For mobile/online donations, carefully select Assumption so our parish is properly credited.
